What If I Succeed?
What if...?
Here is a question we often ask ourselves.
What if... I fail?
What if... I look stupid?
What if...and the list goes on. How often do you let the "What if's" from stopping you in your tracks. How about saying, "What if I take action and go for my dreams, no matter what? What if I succeed!" I know what you're thinking. Your saying to yourself, "but I don't deserve to have what I want or to achieve my dreams". Be honest now, that little voice is whispering that into you head right now, isn't it. I'm going to ask you a simple question, and I want an honest answer. Why not? Tell your little voice to shut up. Put it in it's place and say "No more what if's or I don't deserves for me". Train the voice to say "I choose to succeed in my goals, and I do deserve it"! Last year, I was in South Carolina, walking along the beach. I was having a long heart to heart talk with myself. Though my business allowed me to travel, I came to the conclusion that I was not happy with some of the things that I was doing, and needed to make a change. One thing was very clear to me, though. I loved to travel and wanted to continue to find ways to do so, and still create my wealth. I did not want to travel if the circumstances for it caused me to be too tired and frustrated to enjoy it. It was there and then that I decided that I was going to make it a goal to travel on my own terms. In fact, I renewed my resolve to live totally and fully on my terms. I was going to go where I wanted to go, and do it at least once a month. How do I do this? Where would I get the money? Well, first I decided I was going to do it, then I created a financial plan where I could put money aside to do it. We always have money for that which we truly value. Then, open myself to receive the opportunities that would allow me to do it. The results have been amazing. I have succeeded in doing something every month, from traveling to Toronto to visiting friends and family, to going to New Orleans, Mexico, the East Coast twice, as well as camping and participating in a national conference and more. Thinking and planning are important, but just as important is taking action. I talked to others about my dreams and goals, I took training to learn what I needed to do, I stepped out of my comfort zone and took chances. As a result , I have been able to find clients and business opportunities that are in line with my personal beliefs, goals and values. I have hooked with a phenomenal personal development company that will touch millions of lives. I have become a travel agent, which will open another door for my travel dreams. I continue to sharpen my skills as a speaker and clarify my focus of my goals and desires. I have gotten better at my crafts, and am more in demand, and have a greater joy in what I am doing. I have changed my focus to allow opportunities to come into my life that will pay me to travel, and again, on my terms. My future travel plans include going to Dominican Republic, Victoria BC, Calgary, the East Coast (of course!) and I also plan to go to Ireland and England with my mother and sister. If I can achieve my goals and desires, so can you. It just goes to show that you are the one in control of your dreams and your decisions. Have a long hard heart to heart with yourself, and find out what brings you joy, create your plan of action and go for it. Don't let the "what if's", the "I don't deserves" and so called "reality" stop you. |
